I know I am not the most active on here, I'm not really that active on any one online site, but I figured I should give the few people who still keep an eye out for me an update.
I finished my undergrad- I graduated this past spring with a BS in Apparel Design and two minors in Theatre Production and Fashion History and Culture. It was a hard 5 years, but completely worth it. Most of you who kept up with me know about how much I struggled to do both commissions and keep up with my studies. Right now its safe to say that I have chilled out a little bit. But only a little.
That brings us to now. I am currently working multiple part time jobs and taking up temporary positions that gain me more experience. It is a roller coaster ride, but I believe this is probably what a lot of college graduates do their first year out. The pros are that all the new jobs I have been working at are teaching me new things, strengthening my portfolio, or building character. It has also left me with some free time which is very nice to have too. The cons are that I am backed up with local commissions yet again, and therefore am hesitant to open commissions online. Mostly because I need to try and keep up with my more immediate, local, world.
Some of these commissions coming up that any DA followers might be interested in watching for:
- Corgi Laforge- a fursuit of a corgi from star trek for my friend. This friend was a support beam during alot of my college and many of the projects I went to work on with him fell flat, so this one is getting done as a thank-you for him being cool with me sometimes putting his stuff on the back burner, finishing late, or never getting it done.
- Wedding dress- I am making one of my friends her wedding dress in purple. While she does have a specific style in mind, I am not really in it to design a wedding dress. I want to make her a beautiful garment she can wear on her wedding day, and can wear afterward for her how happiness.
- Dragon face- I recently adopted a character online of a golden dragon. The original artist gave me permission to make the character a costume if I wished, so maybe in the next couple of months you will see some trial sculpting of his adorable face. X3
- Cheshire cat blanks- These are now purchasable for $35 plus $8 shipping within US, however I will be remaking the mold (hopefully) soon due to deterioration and resin bubbles forming between the teeth on finished casts. If you dont care about said bubbles feel free to shoot me an email- I can often find an hour to cast and sand a blank, and the post office is on my way to work. However I do reserve the right that if I get slammed- that you may have to wait. Once I have the new mold I will be selling these on Etsy along with a few other blanks.
